Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are your prices?
A: All of my packages and prices can be found on the “Investment” tab. Check it out! If you have any questions about my packages and prices, please contact me!
Q: Can I have two photographers at my wedding?
A: Yes! I just updated my Orchid package to include a second photographer. My other packages cover the cost of one photographer, as I generally shoot alone. However, if you desire two photographers at your wedding and would like the Lily or Daisy package, I am able to bring a second photographer with me for an extra fee.
Q: Can I print my own photographs or do I have to order from you?
A: You can do both! I give you reproduction rights to your pictures no matter your package choice or session. This gives you the ability to print and share your photographs as you would like. However, I cannot guarantee the quality of prints if you choose to print them yourself. While I do not require that you order any of your pictures from me, I do offer professional printing services if you choose.
Q: Do you have any suggestions of where we could have our portraits taken?
A: I have a ton of suggestions, but I am always open to any ideas you might have as well. See my ever-expanding list of places. Also, if you have any ideas to add to it, please let me know!
Q: How many pictures do you take at each wedding?
A: I do not limit the number of photographs I take at any event – no matter how long or short of a time I am there. I generally take between 100-200 photographs per hour – sometimes even more! And with any package or portraits session, you will receive a DVD (or 2) with all the final high resolution digital files of your photographs.
Q: What are “print credits”?
A: Print credits are my way of letting you customize your photography package. Many photographers offer an album, or individual prints with their packages. I would rather let you choose what you want than specify what you have to get. Print credits can be applied towards prints, albums, proof books or anything else I offer as an “Add-on”. They can even be applied to extra hours or sessions if you prefer. Please contact me if you desire a list of print or album prices.
Q: Do you photograph in color or black and white?
A: I photograph in color so you have every option possible for your photographs. By shooting in full color, all of the images can be digitally altered to black and white, sepia tone, or a mix of two tones.
Q: Can you digitally alter photographs?
A: Yes, I am able to alter photographs. Although I work to capture the perfect shot right out the camera, sometimes people blink, or there are unwanted spots or blemishes. If there is a photograph you wish altered in some way, I will do my best to accomplish the alteration to your specifications. I do not charge extra for any alterations to photographs that I take.
Q: Where do you print photographs I order from you?
A: I use a professional imaging lab using the highest quality standards with the latest equipment and technology. Each image is individually assessed for color and exposure by me to provide you with highest quality prints available. However, as you will have the reproduction rights to your prints, you are able to have your photographs printed at any place of your choosing.
Q: Can you travel to photograph my wedding?
A: Yes, although there may be a travel fee associated with this, as well as any extra expenses, if needed (such as hotel rooms, etc). I will travel as far as an hour (round trip) outside of the Buffalo area without any extra travel fees.
Q: How many weddings do you photograph each weekend?
A: I photograph no more than one wedding on any given day. I am completely dedicated to you on your wedding day. If you need me to arrive early or stay late, I have the availability and flexibility to do so on very short notice.
Q: Do you offer a wedding website?
A: I offer personal online galleries that can be password protected at your request. Generally within 2 weeks after the wedding, all of your wedding photographs will be viewable online. Friends and family are also able to view and order prints from your wedding gallery.
Q: How many proofs will I receive?
A: You will receive a DVD with high resolution images of all final images. The amount of images depends on the length of your event. I do not limit the amount of images you receive, and I generally take about 100 pictures per hour. In order to keep my prices low, I do not provide printed proofs, although they are available to order.
Q: What is a “Boudoir” session?
A: Boudoir sessions are the newest portrait trend – designed to show your sexy side! These portraits are tasteful, sexy and just a little risqué- without being trashy or explicit. These sessions are designed specifically for you – they can be as revealing or as suggestive as you wish, but they are never beyond your comfort level. They’re a great gift idea for your significant other!
Q: Who will see the pictures from a Boudoir session? Will you post them online?
A: I do not use pictures from my boudoir sessions for anything without your written permission. I don’t show anyone (but you) the images from your boudoir session. All online boudoir galleries are automatically password protected. No one can see them without you giving them the password to the gallery. If you prefer to not have them put in an online gallery at all, I will respect your wishes.
Q: What happens to the original negatives and digital files after our photography session?
A: You will receive a digital copy of all the files for your personal use. I also keep digital copies of all original and retouched images, in case you ever have a need for a second copy, or if something happens to the first.
Q: What type of payment do you accept?
A: I accept cash, check and credit cards through Paypal.
